How Spray Foam Insulation Lubbock Works
Spray Foam Insulation Lubbock insulates and air seals houses, metal shops, barns and low-slope commercial roofs across Lubbock County and the South Plains. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow loose-fill cellulose and fiberglass, apply foam roofing with a protective coating, and pull out old insulation that has gone flat, dusty or soiled.
Every job starts with a look, not a phone quote. In a typical South Plains house that means the attic first, because that is where the heat piles up in summer and where most ducts and the air handler sit. We measure what insulation is there, note how deep it is and whether it has packed down, and look for the leaks that matter most here: open chases around flues and plumbing, gaps at the attic hatch, light boxes, and the top plates of interior walls. On a shop or barn we look at the steel, the purlins, the doors and how the building will be heated or cooled. On a flat roof we look at the deck, the drains and any wet spots.
Then we tell you what we would do and why. Foam is not the cheapest answer for every surface. On a wide attic floor, sealing the leaks and blowing loose fill to depth often costs less than foaming the roofline. Where the ducts live in the attic, a sealed roofline with foam can make sense. When either approach could work, the quote shows both so you can choose.
How we work
- Look first. We measure and inspect before we price.
- Write it down. Each area on the quote lists the material, thickness or depth, target R-value and price.
- Seal, then insulate. Air leaks are closed before new insulation covers them.
- Protect the house. Floors and belongings are covered, the work area is masked and ventilated.
- Plan around the weather. Spring wind and hail season and the hottest July afternoons affect roof and attic work, so we schedule with that in mind.
- No surprises. Work starts after you approve the quote, and any change is agreed in writing first.
